PCX 400 - 130 : INTRODUCTION
For very large samples the PCX 400-130 is a unique, fully shielded x-ray system optimized for 3D X-Ray Propagation Phase Contrast Imaging with sub 10 - micron resolution and feature visibility.
The PCX-400-130 provides a unique X-ray imaging capability by capturing and extracting both Phase and Absorption Contrast for maximum image detail and image resolution.
The fully flexible geometry, with motorized sample manipulator and camera positioning allows easy optimization of allimaging parameters - Magnification, Field-of-View (FOV), Resolution and Phase Signature.
Design of the system centers around XRT Limited's extensive patent portfolio which includes the capture and interpretation of x-ray phase contrast information
PCX 400-130 has an operational range from 20 - 130 kVp, with a nominal spot size of less than 10 microns.
If smaller diameter focal spot is required we can additionally offer a special high-resolution source for the range 40 - 90 kVp. For this source a spot size of less than 3.5 microns can be attained. Large sample sizes, up to 400mm diameter and up to 10 Kg in weight can be accommodated.
Configurable Options for the PCX 400-130 include:
- Large Area Panel Imager with an input area of 192 mm x 197mm
- Very Large Area Panel Imager with an input area of 424mm x 424mm
Control Software for Image Acquisition, Camera and Stage operation and X-Ray Source Control are integrated with Image Processing and Analysis Software that includes : Image acquisition, display and control software for single image capture and automated acquisition of image sequences.
Extensive image processing capabilities including:
- Image arithmetic.
- Dark current and flat field correction.
- Image filters - edge, morphological and spectral.
- Ability to customize filters for morphological and convolution filtering.
- Fast Fourier Transform.
- Ability to stitch images using Mosaic tool.
Image Analysis capabilities include:
- Spatial measurements.
- Caliper tool for edge detection and measurement.
- Feature detection, measurement and classification.
- Ability to customize filters for morphological and convolution filtering.
- Programmable features including scripting and macro programming editor.
