Elite Etch - The Fast Decapsulator - 2-Year Complete System Warranty, plus 6-year pump warranty, Heat Exchanger lifetime warranty & Etch Head lifetime warranty

Original patents describing automated acid IC decapsulation were issued to Ben Wensick who, in the early 1980's worked at National Semiconductor Corporation, Santa Clara, CA. Strangely false claims for the invention of automated acid decapsulation continue to be made by others despite the records of the US Patent Office attributing this to Ben Wensick.
Built with 21st Century Design concepts the Elite Etch is a very Fast Dual Acid Decapsulator. RKDs design innovations result in a tool that encompasses all the functionalities required for sample decapsulation of today's plastic IC packages - reproducible high-throughput package decapsulation, coupled with low acid consumption.
Documented field trails confirm that the Elite Etch consistently outperforms all other acid decapsulators
Elite Etch Fast IC Decapsulation etch times are shorter than all other decapsulators, saving you both time and money - a key benefit for rapid package evaluation in business sectors including Counterfeit Protection Measures.
For any IC decapsulation, Elite Etch is 50% to 80% faster than all other decapsulators. Short etch times result in very significant savings by reducing acid consumption.
The Elite Etch rapidly and easily opens even the most delicate packages by delivering precise, micro-aliquots of nitric, sulfuric, (or mixes of these acids) to the package.
Active System Pressure Monitoring (ASM) eliminates all manually adjusted regulators; often very common failure points in other designs. Elite Etch ASM functions use pressurized nitrogen gas (or CDA) and operate under control of an ASM Module that eliminates all etch head clogging problems by ensuring precise control of acid delivery and acid purge functions.
Elite Etch has very short heat-up times. The IC device hold-down assembly is manually activated and designed with a large amount of vertical travel. Vertical ram nose movement has two functions - to secure the device to the etch head while eliminating movement of either the package or its fixturing.

The safety cover is closed and opened manually at the beginning and end of each etch process. Closing the safety cover starts a programmed etch sequence, opening the safety cover stops all etch processes.
All acid line connections use radially symmetrical compression fittings to eliminate troublesome high temperature seals. You'll never have acid leaks with the Eite Etch.
As Fume Hood space is always at a premium Elite Etch was designed with a small footprint. The incorporation of a heat exchanger for cooling waste acid below 90°C enables this size reduction as it only needs a single waste bottle!
For ultimate safety both the Elite Etch body and the Bottle Assembly incorporate liquid sensors to alert the operator in the unlikey event of acid leak.
