ProbeWash, De-Ox Cleaning Solutions, ChemStrip SBS Cleaning Solutions
ProbeWash Cleaning Solutions are de-oxidizing chemical cleaners that restore probe cards by rapidly and completely removing oxides that build up from repeated touch-down and scrub cycles.
ProbeWash cleans probe tips while simultaneously slowing the re-growth of oxides, thereby extending the life of probe cards. The resistance and performance of contact elements are restored to better than that of original, new cards.
Of course by extending the life of probe cards, operating costs are drastically reduced.
ProbeWash Conditioning and Cleaning Solutions are aqueous solutions that remove all oxides on probe tips without affecting base metal.
This conditioning and cleaning protocol restores contact resistance (Cres) to better lower levels than are typicaly measured on new probe cards.
Concerns about probe damage or planarity issues are eliminated because ProbeWash works without physical abrasion. Tip alignment and planarity is unaffected because conditioning and cleaning is chemical, not mechanical. The contact life of the Probe Cards is extended dramatically and probe tip failure will now only occur as a result of mechanical damage to a probe card; never again from abrasive cleaning protocols.
ProbeWash (RDZ-1730) works on all types of probe tip materials, including MEMS designs, Tungsten, Tungsten/Rhenium, Platinum, Palladium, and Molybdenum, regardless of probe tip configuration. ProbeWash (RDZ-1730) contains an advanced wetting / surface tension system that insures optimal cleaning and restoration to low Cres conditions.
ProbeWash LC (RDZ-1822) is formulated to have a surface tension identical to DI (deionized water), thus eliminating potential wicking problems during automated cleaning procedures. Wicking could occur with very fine pitch vertical Probe Card test heads if the surface tension of the ProbeWash conditioning solution was lower than that of the DI rinse water. Such a situation could in result wicking of ProbeWash along needle surfaces in excess of the wetting possible by the rinse water. This danger is eliminated by selection of ProbeWash LC (RDZ 1822) for probe cards with fine pitch, high-density test heads.
ProbeWash Cu (RDZ-1841) is specially formulated to restore probe tips composed of Copper and Copper Alloys.

| CLEANING SOLUTION | PROBE MATERIAL | PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS |
| ProbeWash (RDZ-1730) | All | Maximum penetration and cleaning power |
| ProbeWash LC (RDZ-1822) | All | Minimize potential wicking |

De-Ox & De-Ox II for Burn-in-Boards, Test Sockets and Pogo Pins
When test/burn-in boards are new the connectors have a resistance of less than 10 ohms, usually less than 3 ohms. Over time, and as a result of use the build up of oxides from connectors of packages under test this resistance can increase to more than 100 ohms. At such resistances a connectoris unusable. Replacement of individual test sockets, or of fully populated BIB's results in unnecessarily high operating costs.
De-Ox Cleaning Solution selectively removes oxide build-up in test sockets without abrasive cleaning techniques. The metal contacts of test sockets are restored to low resistance levels quickly and inexpensively.
Test boards cleaned with De-Ox have been shown to perform better, and have lower resistance than new boards De-Ox cleaned connectors consistently measure resistances of 3 ohms or less.
De-Ox formulation contains an oxide inhibitor that slows the re-growth of surface oxide layers, and so it extends the life of test, burn-in-boards and pogo pins.
When test boards are cleaned with De-Ox do fail the failure is a result of mechanical wear and never as a result of contact resistance problems. De-Ox cleaning lowers operating costs by increasing the life of test/burn-in-boards.
